The Process
Designing and Constructing your new home can be overwhelming. This is where MAVROarchitects come in and take care of the design process, allowing you to focus on developing your ideas for us to turn them into a reality. We believe in full transparency and will keep you involved throughout the design process by consulting with you for all major decisions. Below is a summary of the process with more specifics outlined in Our Services beneath:
1. You engage MAVROarchitects with your brief.
2. Architect from MAVROarchitects visits site for a consultation / site measure.
3. Architect creates concept designs based on the brief for your approval and develops a concept presentation.
4. Architect finalises design with you.
5. Architect engages all required consultants on your behalf to produce the required drawings for council / private certifier.
6. Architect reviews the produced drawings from the consultants & addresses any clashes with you while making the necessary adjustments to the architectural drawings.
7. Architect releases final set of drawings to you for your approval before submitting the design to council / private certifier.
8. Meeting with Authorities as required to discuss the lodged development application (included).
9. Meeting with you to discuss process and requirements for the lodged development application (included).
10. Amendments and resubmission as required.
11. MAVROarchitects offers services for construction documentation as a separate contract. This can include the following:
- Construction Certificate development / submission to private certifier
- Basic construction documentation
- Design Development & Construction Documentation
- Interior Design
12. MAVROarchitects recommends reputable builders for the construction stage.

Our Services
1. CONCEPT PRESENTATION
This stage is when an analysis is conducted in accordnace with the design parameters for the site such as natural context, existing building constraints and design parameters. A review of the planning controls that apply to the site is undertaken before a building form is developed and presented as a concept. This stage involves (but is not limited to) the following tasks:
- Initial design meeting to develop, review and comment on the brief brought forward by the client.
- Site analysis.
- Council DCP & LEP / CDC evaluation for scheme compliance.
- Interior measure of existing dwelling.
- Precedent studies including scheme creation and imagery.
- Concept deisgn preparation for review by the client.
- 3 meetings allowed for between architect & client concept development.
- Liaison with the Council and town planner / private certifier.
Consultants typically required during this phase:
Registered surveyor, town planner.
