The Process
Designing and Constructing your new home can be overwhelming. This is where MAVROarchitects come in and take care of the design process, allowing you to focus on developing your ideas for us to turn them into a reality. We believe in full transparency and will keep you involved throughout the design process by consulting with you for all major decisions. Below is a summary of the process with more specifics outlined in Our Services beneath:



1. You engage MAVROarchitects with your brief.
2. Architect from MAVROarchitects visits site for a consultation / site measure.
3. Architect creates concept designs based on the brief for your approval and develops a concept presentation.



4. Architect finalises design with you.
5. Architect engages all required consultants on your behalf to produce the required drawings for council / private certifier.
6. Architect reviews the produced drawings from the consultants & addresses any clashes with you while making the necessary adjustments to the architectural drawings.
7. Architect releases final set of drawings to you for your approval before submitting the design to council / private certifier.



8. Meeting with Authorities as required to discuss the lodged development application (included).
9. Meeting with you to discuss process and requirements for the lodged development application (included).
10. Amendments and resubmission as required.



11. MAVROarchitects offers services for construction documentation as a separate contract. This can include the following:
            - Construction Certificate development / submission to private certifier
            - Basic construction documentation 
            - Design Development & Construction Documentation
            - Interior Design
12. MAVROarchitects recommends reputable builders for the construction stage.

3. POST LODGEMENT
The professionalism and experience at MAVROarchitects ensures that we do our best to achieve an initial approval for the client. However, given the ambiguity surrounding any consent authority, MAVROarchitects cannot guarantee this. Hence, this stage is required to address any issues raised and is dependant on the outcome from the Consent Authority, as an approval for the client is our goal. One meeting with Council is included at no cost and work required to respond to Council issues will either be charged at an hourly rate or an agreed lump sum. Items in this stage include (but are not limited to):

       - Meeting with authorities to discuss the lodged development application.
       - Client meetings to discuss process and development application.
       - Attendance at one Council meeting (if required).
       - Preparation of a formal response to issues raised by the consent authority.
       - One round of amendments (if required by Council).
       - Submission of Additional Information (where required by Council).

An estimate of hours will be provided prior to undertaking any work.
Consultants will be engaged as required and engaged by MAVROarchitects on behalf of the client. Note the consultant fees will be directed to the client.
